I’m Darryl, the breeder behind SoCal Beards & Brows, a family-owned Miniature Schnauzer program in San Diego, CA. I left corporate life to do what I truly love—spending my days with dogs and the families who adore them.
Our goal is simple: raise beautiful, healthy, confident puppies that fit seamlessly into family life. Our dogs are loved like family and raised in our home with daily interaction, gentle handling, and consistent routines. We focus on temperament just as much as structure and coat, and our puppies come from carefully selected, genetically tested parents.
From the moment they’re born, we begin early enrichment and socialization—introducing safe sounds, new experiences, and positive grooming exposure—so your puppy grows up calm, curious, and comfortable being handled. We want every puppy to leave us ready for real life: cuddles on the couch, adventures outside, and learning the basics with confidence.

We’re proud to raise AKC-registered Miniature Schnauzers. To us, that isn’t just paperwork—it’s a commitment to doing things with care and integrity. We focus on health, temperament, and breed standards, and we’re transparent about our dogs, our process, and what you can expect as a new puppy parent. Our breeding dogs are carefully selected and genetically tested, and every litter is raised with early enrichment and positive socialization to help each puppy start life on the best footing possible.
